As well as enjoying new life as a dynamic, attractive and accessible home for science in the heart of the city, the Science Exchange offers a unique alternative venue for hire. The former Adelaide Stock Exchange building, now completely refurbished, features a range of spaces steeped in history while providing every modern amenity.
The landmark Science Exchange building is one of the few remaining Federation/Edwardian-style structures in Adelaide. Completed in 1901, it combines the Australian Federation style with elements of the English Arts and Crafts Movement. Incorporating a beautiful Morris Company stained glass window that commemorates Federation, the building retains many of its original light fittings and ornate door and window hardware.
The distinctive external architecture, with its round corner tower and spire, is the first thing to greet your guests. Inside there are five spaces, ranging from heritage to contemporary, suitable for conferences, meetings, product launches, industry showcases, cocktail functions or private parties.
All spaces are equipped with state-of-the-art communications technology and our in-house manager can expertly meet your requirements. RiAus's appointed caterer, Culinetic, specialises in delicious, innovative and contemporary cuisine, and will handle all your food and beverage needs.
