Did you know that your currently carrying at least a kilo of bacteria around on (and in!) you at the moment? And that without these hitchhikers we'd get very sick, very quickly? The world is a very different place if you are a bacteria or virus, who can happily live in the most extreme environments on earth, from deep-sea volcanoes to boiling hot sulphur ponds. Join us for an evening with author Idan Ben-Barak, author of Small wonders as he talks to AdvertiserScience Reporter Clare Peddie about how different our lives might be without our microscopic friends.
The RiAus is also proudly supporting 'Small wonders' events for young people at Tea Tree Gully Library and Pt Adelaide Enfield Library on Friday 13 November.
